I forgot to post these. We had a great trip. My son and our friend went down stream. I went up. Bigger fish were their way. I caught 6 and they had 7 big ones.

Mine:

Nice ones:

Our boats:

It was the right day and timing. I went to their spot the next day and caught six more nice fish but not as big as theirs. Fishing out of these small paddle boats is so much fun.

Awesome! Catching big fish is always a blast.

Love your boats!!! You guys have it figured out.

I know a guy that bought a tripped out Skeeter a few years back and he paid a really stupid amount for it, like $25,000 or something. Then he had to buy a new Suburban at $35,000 to pull it and all the gear. I asked him why he paid so much just to fish and he said that's what is needed to get to the really good fish and also he said you need to look good while doing it.

I think like your set-up better.

Dennis

Catching big fish is "always" a blast. I don't "always" catch big fish, but I "always" have a blast fishing. Very Happy
Don't knock the bass boat fishing too hard. It really is only what game we want to play. I love my paddling boat, but in not too many years (bad knees) I probably will have to return to the comfort of my bass boat.
The older I get the more I enjoy simple things. Boats you don't have to own and maintain a trailer for. No stops for fuel and oil, unless you count coffee and donuts. Laughing No battery charging etc.. Best of all no registration fees (tax) and hassle. Very Happy

Beekeeper,

I agree, I take a lot of joy in the simple hassle free fun to be had throwing a boat in the back of the truck, putting it in anywhere and quietly paddle or push pole around. Also getting into some areas that big boats cant take you.
